Helping the farmers and land managers of tomorrow by providing new tools to measure soil health without the need for laboratories. Using artificial intelligence to monitor and predict soil health for farmers and growers across Europe.   Our contribution is developing novel soil health indicators and improving soil health prediction models with the on-farm measurement of biological activity.

The research project aims at: 1. collecting information on optimal fertilizer application based on Digit Soil technology, to reduce costs and pollution; 2. the development of a soil sampler that ensures accurate soil carbon measurements to decrease costs for obtaining carbon credits as well as to facilitate soil sampling for soil analyses

Digit Soil is developing “GreenGrow: Optimizing Fertilization for Yield, Savings, and Sustainability”, a product for fertilizer optimization, which is funded by the Swiss Climate Foundation.

BodenPulse, an ESA Demonstration project, is an agricultural technology project that provides farmers with a smart fertilization planner. The platform uses satellite data and in-situ soil measurements collected by an innovative soil enzymatic activity reader to create locally tailored plans. This optimizes fertilizer use, reduces costs, increases crop yield, and minimizes pollution from agricultural runoff and gas emissions.
