Hélène Iven

Founder & CEO

Hello, I'm Hélène. My expertise covers product-market fit, business operations, PR, and fundraising. My education in Agricultural Sciences at ETH Zürich and working experiences on-farms (including an interesting sheep rescue in the Alp!) have deepened my understanding of agriculture and provided me an extensive network in that industry. I'm dedicated to regenerative farming and connecting the right stakeholders to create new possibilities.

Dr. Jasmin Fetzer

Founder & COO

I am an environmental and soil scientist, an inquisitive and curious person about almost everything—especially if it leads to much-needed solutions for current pressing environmental problems. I am excited to use my broad skills at DigitSoil to help this project flourish and to bring some light into the 'black box' of soil.

Alan Meller

Software Engineer

I am a Software Engineer with ~15 years of industry experience, in areas spanning from making the world's famous Search engine faster and more efficient; to developing models to find and show the best possible Ad on Youtube. At Digit Soil, I'm using this expertise for general Software Development, as well as for developing our Agroecological model. In my spare time, I like to swim and to paint Warhammer.

Dr. Sonia Meller

Founder & CTO

I am a biotechnologist and soil scientist (ETH) with a passion for design and innovation. I love building things and seeing them in action. At home, I have a garden with heavy soils and a very busy 3D printer.

Hi, I'm Paula, a chemist turned oenologist. After exploring Spain's vineyards and specializing in quality control, I'm now diving into soil health and analysis. Passionate about the alchemy of soil and wine, I believe in the magic that starts from the ground up.

Data scientist & Modelling expert

I am a Geography PhD and data scientist. During my research career I have worked on by combining ecology, farmers knowledge and remote sensing to uncover sustainable land management solutions; as a data scientist I develop models and tools to facilitate data-driven decision making. At DigitSoil I develop integrated crop-soil-nutrient models to provide farmers with useful predictions of their soil fertility along the growing season. In myfree time I love to cook and, when I can, to sail; I once completed the atlantic crossing with a sailing boat!

Organizational talent, doer, passionate saleswoman and customer advocate – that’s who I am. I love turning ideas into action, motivating people, and achieving goals together. With Digit Soil, I share a love for nature and a focus on sustainable practices. My interests are as diverse as life itself, and (almost) everything happening in the world ignites my curiosity.

Sira Ösze

Laboratory & Allrounderin

I studied Molecular Plant Biology at ETH Zurich and, during my master’s thesis, I investigated soil microbiomes from vineyards, which led me to Digit Soil. I enjoy working scientifically, but I value the dynamics and versatility of everyday life in a start-up as well: thinking along, co-creating, learning from each other. In my free time, I love being creative – whether silversmithing, laser-cutting earrings, or 3D-printing ceramic flower pots. And when I'm not tinkering with new projects, you’ll most likely find me outdoors – in nature, doing sports, or searching for new inspiration.
